CHARITABLE OPPORTUNITIES

The Giving Tree

St. John’s Catholic School 8th grade class is working with Catholic Charities to provide gifts to multiple local families in need during the Christmas season.  The Giving Tree will be back this year, but with a few changes.  Due to COVID, families in need will be requesting gift cards instead of specific gifts.  The Giving Tree will go up the week of Thanksgiving.  There will be one in the school rotunda and a paper one in the Knights of Columbus Hall.  Please consider purchasing gift cards through St. John’s Scrip program.  Return your gifts to the Giving Tree drop boxes by the trees, the parish office, or the school office, no later than Wednesday, December 9th. Thank you!  Questions? School Office: 635-5830.

HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE

All parishioners are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items as well as toiletries in the collection box in the Knights Hall or school rotunda.  Needed items at this time include:  canned fruits and vegetables, beans, rice, cereal, pasta and sauce, soup, tuna and peanut butter in addition to personal care items for babies, children, teenagers and adults.  Donations of clothing can NOT be accepted. Items will be delivered to House of Neighborly Service and St. John’s St. Vincent de Paul Society.

FUNDRAISERS

There are numerous fundraisers that take place during the Christmas season, including
