St. John’s has a big campus and the beautiful landscaping is made possible thanks to our volunteers. Between the church, school, and rectory, there are 13 small gardens spread across our parish. We are looking for volunteers to adopt an individual garden and care for it. Work may include weeding, planting, watering, and arranging. You do not need to spend your own money. The parish has tools and a budget for landscaping. However, many hands make light work and your assistance is needed to maintain the landscaping.
MEETING: Saturday, August 3, at 10am in the church basement, to tour the garden areas, explain duties, and go over available tools. To view a list and photos of specific garden areas and sign-up form, please visit saintjohns.us/gardens. The garden you adopt doesn’t have to stay the way it is now. If you have ideas, please share!
Additionally, we are looking for someone to lead the gardening/landscaping ministry - to organize volunteers, assign tasks, tend to the various flowers and garden areas, and take care of tools. If you can help, please contact Carol in the parish office at 970-635-5816 or carol@saintjohns.net
